March 7th Update - FINAL CALL!
There will be a meeting on Monday 20th March at 7.00 pm for all those already signed up for our Pilgrimage to the Holy Land next February. The meeting will be in St Erconwald’s church, Esher Avenue Walton on Thames. Della Shenton back from a recent visit to the Holy Land will be able to give you up to date information. Della will be there to answer any queries you may have and to meet our fellow travellers.
If there is anyone else out there still dreaming of coming with us then do come along. This is our final calling and deposits need to be in by the 20th March. We have a lovely group travelling together from St Erconwald’s and neighbouring parishes.
Thank you to all that have signed up for this historic and Spiritual adventure.

The talk that Della gave us on this trip is below (Worth looking at for interest even if you don’t come).
This is a wonderful opportunity to visit the land where Jesus lived, ministered and died. The Parish as far as we know has never organised it’s own pilgrimage like this let alone travelled with our own priest. If you have ever wanted to visit the Holy Land this is the time to do it. We suggest you take a look at the presentation and the very comprehensive Practical Notes For Pilgrims before making your decision to come. We need a minimum of 16 people to make the trip viable and on this first trip would probably look for a maximum of 25 but we will see how many are interested. If you are interested then please complete the expression of interest form and send in to the office as soon as possible for the attention of Ann Meehan.` This is a wonderful opportunity to visit the land where Jesus lived, ministered and died. Deposits of £300 per person must be paid by Wednesday 30th November together with the booking form. Two further payments of £1,175.00 will then need to be paid. The first by the 20th May 2023 , the second by the 15th July 2023. This makes a total of £2,650.00. This assumes people share a room. Single supplement will be £450. Payment details are on the booking form. Please let Ann Meehan know when you have completed and sent in the booking form. The guidance notes explain the food arrangements, accommodation standards etc. Travel Insurance is not included and you will need this in place before travelling. We hope to run talks on the various places we will visit between now and July. Depending on how many people are interested there may be a possibility of extending your trip by 4 days to visit Jordan. This could be either side of the Holy Land visit. There will be a separate communication on this at a later date. If any of this is not clear then please contact: Ann Meehan ann-meehan@hotmail.co.uk |
