Foodbank

Picture
Do you or know someone who needs help?

Please note we can provide vouchers to anyone in need of assistance from the foodbank. Please contact Fr Ruslan or Deacon Joseph if you need or know someone who is in need.
Case study

A young mum - lets call her Susan - who has previously donated to the food bank before having to use the food bank.  Susan suffers from post-natal depression and so forgot to renew her tax credits.  This meant Susan had to repay back two years worth of them which put the family in so much debt they were facing eviction.

This is the sort of story which shows crises can happen to anyone.
We support the Walton and Hersham food bank.  waltonhersham.foodbank.org.uk
Dried goods and tins can be left in the basket in the porch. We are also an official referral agent so if you are in need or know someone in need we can provide introduction vouchers.

The main reasons people are having to use the foodbank is because of changes to their benefits, followed by low income - a shocking number of people are in paid employment but still have to come to a foodbank to be able to live.
What do they need?

The food bank is looking for the following types of item - Remember items need to be in date.
