St Erconwald's Parish Pastoral Council May 2023-April 2026
Christoph Brintrup
I am the husband of my lovely wife Lydia and the father of two young girls. My family and I have been members of St. Erconwald’s parish for more than 12 years. I am passionate about people, nature, community and the Christian faith. My hope is that we can use the strong community base that we have in our parish and build it up further by spreading the good news and making it the centre of people’s lives. |
Caroline Edmondson
I am a part time finance manager, mum and student. I currently lead the Alpha Course at St Erconwald’s and have a passion for discovering more about Christ and His word, especially in the context of our world today and its challenges. I enjoy meeting new people and hearing different points of view. I am excited about the changes in the parish community in recent months and am looking forward to more youth and outreach activities. |
Gavin Jardine
I’m married to Lucy Jardine and we've been at St Erconwald’s parish since 2004, attending Saturday evening mass with our three kids until they flew the nest, now regularly at the 9.15 mass on Sunday. I work in IT on large data projects with teams spread around the world, and love the richness of background, experience and depth of talent that that brings. |
Lucy Jardine (Chair)
I've been at St Erconwald’s parish since 2004 with my husband Gavin and our three now grown-up children. I work in translation and international development and at St Ercs I've loved being involved with the liturgy as a musician and reader, youth masses and youth group. My vision for our parish is that we come together to build our faith community where no-one is a stranger, reaching out to those in need in the world around us. |
John Joyce
My wife (Jane) and I have been members of the parish since moving to Walton in 1999. Blessed with two wonderful daughters - Hanna and Em - who attended Cardinal Newman. We attend mass most Saturdays, where I read occasionally. I’ve spent most of my career in financial services, as a management accountant and more recently, working in risk management. I am/was a keen cyclist (currently recovering from an injury) and also have a passing (waning) interest in football. |
Raymond Komori
My wife and I have been attending the parish since 2012, were married here and have since been blessed with two lovely sons. I am also a regular reader at the 9.15am mass on Sundays. I am originally from Nigeria and came to study in the UK and have since made it my home. I enjoy reading (especially historical fiction) and watching football. |
Jen Lumby
I’ve been an active part of this wonderful parish since 2016, when I moved to the area, and I want to express my gratitude for the warm welcome I've received. As a proud mother of one and with another little one on the way, I’m very excited for the future. My professional journey began in NHS management, but my love for sports (and Everton) led me to the exciting world of live broadcast production. I am also fluent in Portuguese, after spending 13 years in Portugal from the age of 5. I look forward to serving you all in any way I can. |
Venita Menezes Goes
I am a collection agent in a private firm, and I am doing my further studies in Human Resources. I am passionate about the Word of God and have completed my Theological studies in Bible. The Word of God is my strength, and my aim is to do God’s will in my day-to-day life. My mantra: JOY - Jesus first - Others next - Yourself last. What keeps me going: Luke 6: 37: Nothing is impossible with God. |
Emma Whitehead
I am at mum to two young boys who were both baptised in the Parish. I am a Chartered Accountant working part time as the Finance Director of a local charity and volunteering as the Parish Treasurer. I also help run the Alpha course with a team of other mums as well as getting involved in important Parish tasks such as ensuring there is enough chocolate for the Easter Egg hunt. |
