Almost 4,000 children in Elmbridge live in poverty. Low wages and increasing living costs mean many families are struggling to put food on the table.

FUNDRAISING IDEAS
If you feel you could create a fundraising event, this is highly likely to generate greater funds than a donation request alone. This also gives the church an opportunity to raise awareness of the issue of poverty here in Elmbridge with your congregation.
Here are some ideas you might like to try:

• Sponsored picnic- bring in packed lunch and donate the cost of school dinner
• Cake sale
• Coffee morning/ afternoon
• Sponsored challenge, with a target to raise the equivalent of a weekly shop for a local family
• Kick Coffee for Kids Clothes-  forgo a daily coffee for a week and donate their usual coffee money to pay for school uniform.

 
The appeal will be open until the end of September.
